Our Point to Point season came to an end last weekend with a visit to Mordon and we are now well underway with the flat season and our return to the satellite shop at Beverley Racecourse. I really enjoy our days at Beverley so it’s great to be back in our summer shop for the season ahead.
Our embroidery business continues to flourish. When I made the decision to take garment embroidery in-house rather than outsourcing, I always hoped we’d manage a steady run of work but it really has taken off, so I’m delighted (if a little exhausted as much of the embroidery work is done late into the night after the shop closes!). With the flat season underway we’ve done lots of work for owners, trainers, studs and syndicates along with a steady run of racing silks and paddock clothing. We were again asked to embroider the jackets for this year’s riders in the Macmillan charity race, which will take place at York in June. Many of the riders have secured support from various companies so we’ll be embroidering lots of logos on to breeches in the coming weeks.
